Let's discuss all the changes you'd like to see in the Laser Class here and hash out the realities. For example, there's constant discussion on the price of sails. We can figure out, pound for pound, meter for meter, what is the going price for sails in other classes and apply that to L*sers to come up with fair market value.

    Hi, good idea :)
I remember one of Merrily's best hints to "sew an own sail" ( http://www.laserforum.org/showthread.php?t=3265 ), f.e. a pink Radial sail for you, Ribecca. Of course ,me, I would like to sew my own kevlaer sail for the upcoming future on the water...
So, we perhaps beat, with our own sewing mashine ( "PAFF 284 Series" just got the maintenance to start that dirty job... ;) ), the netto cost of ~ 80 US$ for the Dracon Main for the Laser that just not got the red ILCA button, because it just not left the sewing table (f.e at this sailmaikers loft: http://www.hydesails.com/sails/lofts.asp ) to be delivered to the out-of-the-box-boat-builder...

    Stay wet

Thanks for that link Loose Lu. Your a peach! It looks like Merrily was actually making a serious offering with that sew your own sail. Just for the record, my pink Radial bedsheet sail is a joke. It was a feeble attempt to cover the fact that I have no platform. I just want to be president. Back on topic, meter per meter, how does that price of a L*ser sail stack up? Anybody out there good at math? We could compare the price of a Lightning sail.
