Team Racing at MidWinters

Does anybody know how this works? I have heard it is not like typical team racing.....is this true? Is it a big deal or just a practice day? Who will be at MidWinters? ( yes, the Deep, Deep ,Deep South but warm, sunny and somewhat breezy today!)

It is 4 boat teams instead of the usual 3, but otherwise it is like regular team racing. It is not a real big deal, but there are usually at least 2 really good teams plus 3 or 4 others. BB

But it's a whole fleet of teams all sailing at the same time, right? Or is it two teams at a time?

Damien brings up a good point and I'll borrow some verbage from a recent fellow poster:

For those who are grumpy about this development, I'd be happy to sponsor the midwinters-north here in Erie. The money you save in fuel will pay for the hospital stay for frostbite.

We could hold in in conjunction with the DN Nationals...LOL After all IIRC Al & Courtney did make some ice boats.

The team races have always been one team against the other, not all teams sailing all at once.
