NOTICE OF RACE
Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and by the Sunfish Class Association.
Eligibility and Entry
The Regatta is open to all skippers who are or will become members of USSCA (United States Sunfish Class Association) at a cost of $35. Scholarships are available. Go to sunfishclass.org/admin/membershipapplication.pdf for an application. Eligible skippers may enter by completing the Douglas Lake entry form and sending it with the required fee to :

Entry Fee is $30 for non-US SAILING members and $25 for US SAILING members with number provided. Racing, one shrimp dinner, one Sunday lunch and awards included.
Sailing Instructions - will be available at registration.
Location – 9561 MacArthur Rd., Levering, MI 49755 – Schulte residence
Directions- From #31 North –pass the Pellston Airport then turn east on C-66 (Levering-Cheboygan Rd.) at the Marathon station and blinking light in Levering. Go about 3 miles then turn south on MacArthur Rd. for about 2.5 miles – signs on right.
From I-75 take exit #326 and go west about 3 miles, turn south on MacArthur Rd for about 2.5 miles then follow the signs on the right.

Sunday, July 22 First Race 10:00
Courses – Announced at Skipper’s Meeting
Scoring – Four back to back races are scheduled for Saturday and two races for Sunday. There will be one throw out race scored after the fourth race.
Prizes – There will be ten awards presented on Sunday
Social Events – There will be a Cajun Shrimp Boil dinner following racing on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. Lunch will not be provided on Saturday nor is it available nearby. There will be Douglas Lake Sunfish Regatta T-shirts sold by a local artist.
