I'm organizing a Sunfish gathering at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT on July 10th and 11th (changed to Aug 14-15). The Norwalk Islands are gorgeous and a lot of fun to explore. Unlike racing where you have to have expensive sails to have fun, all Sunfishes will be welcomed.
The beach is quit nice, the scenery is stunning, and the venue--the best.
If anyone is interested in helping out, drop me a PM. So far I have about half a dozen people planning to come, and that is just through word of mouth.
Parking fees can be waived contact me just prior to the event.
I see people out camping on Shea Island often. I'll look into that for those interested.

IMAX THEATER nearby in the Norwalk Aquarium--see both. Great Restaurants nearby. You could even sail to these places. Great place to ride bicycles also. I recommend coming early, grabbing a good parking spot, and exploring by bike in the morning, having lunch in town and, sailing in the afternoon.

Note there is a foot race this weekend, so expect some delays getting in as you approach the beach, or come early.
Green part is just a portion of the 31 acre park.
