Stolen laser on ebay?

I doubt it's stolen. It's easy to say the person probably isn't involved in the Laser scene much. With the boat on the ground, the traveller displayed like it is....

That said, he has the hull # listed: (OQTG6997A999), and that's pretty bold if it was stolen.

My guess: this person bought the boat from a friend to go sailing.
Never got around to using it, (hence doesn't know much about the Laser in particular) and sold a couple parts to others that needed them, or never got them in the first place.
 
I must admit that is the first thing that I thought of when I saw the listing. Is it hot??? Who knows?...I know that would'nt touch it. Let the buyer be very wary and ask for proof that it is legit.
 
may be the whole e bay thing is fed with stolen goods,certainly our dinghy park has had spars etc stolen recently.one time i would risk leaving the boat with rudder sail etc maybe even uncovered if i had sailed in the morning and was returning later.too risky now
