Sail repair

My upper section broke and ripped the mast sleeve on my Radial sail, what is the best way to fix it. is it work fixing or should i just buy a new sail

Happens pretty often. If you're proficient in sail repair than you can patch it, if not bring it to your local sail loft/repair and they'll do it pretty cheaply. Unless of course you want to use this as an excuse to buy a new sail

Same thing happened with me a few years ago. I took it to a local sailmaker, who stitched it up for about $30.

dacron tape might work depending on how bad its ripped

Would i just get them to repair the rip or would they need to replace the sleeve. Is it even legal to replace the sleeve

Just the rip. I think they just basically sew a patch on top of it.
