Ronstan 24" tiller extension

Will the Ronstan 24" tiller extension (RONRF 3128) fit the universal joint on my Sunfish Pro tiller? On quiet, low wind days, the 36" tiller is more in the way than useful. Thanks.
 
I don't think so, I think the 36" Pro Tiller (smooth shank) is made by RWO. Ronstan and RWO look alike but do not interchange at the base. I ran into this problem last year and had to change the base and universal. Since I had two boats with Ronstan Extensions, I replaced the base on the extension with a Ronstan Universal and Base. I can now use any extension on any boat.
