repair a chip out of gell coat

Hi

I found this chip on saterday and i do not now how i got it or how to repair it . Can you give me a idea on how to repair it . The chip gose right down to the wood. Can your help me .

Repair with either gelcoat or resin with a little thickner in it (you can add color agent to the resin or use some touch up paint afterwards)

It's not wood under it, just fiberglass and filler...
 
Hi,
to add 49208: for such a small damage you need only a few gelcoat. Paint the gelcoat to the damaged area and put some Tesafilm over it. Tesafilm makes the surface nearly flat again. Aft the gelcoat got dry (~24 hours, belongs of the temperature outside), you pull away the tesafilm. Then you took wetsanding paper of grid 400x400 per cm and a small piece of flat wood and wetsand the area carefull. Finally you wetsand the surface with grid 1000x1000 per cm. At least you polish the area with any good marine wax and polish.
