Hi Kids,
I'm repairing an older Laser hull, and I've noticed that my centerboard well is a total mess. Is there any way to repair/refiberglass that area of the hull? Is it even possible? I'm afriad that I might have a leak in the well, and I'm not to sure how to fix it.
The trunk itself is part of the hull mold. It's bonded to the deck when the two peices are put together. Over time and use , the filler between the deck mold and the trunk will crack and start to leak. This is the first place I would check.
Easiest way to check it to do the soapy water test with the boat upside down (remember to tape over the breather hole in the cockpit) Once you have the leak located, you can reseal.
