I learned to sail in this boat over 20 years ago. It was recently given to me, but I don't know what it is. I would like to find out more about it so that I can restore it if possible.
The length is about 16.5 feet. It has a furling jib, and rear mounted traveller. The sail number is US1, indicating it might be a prototype or custom, but it looks to be high quality (although in need of restoration). I remember it planed well in light winds and was pretty fast.
There is a plaque on the transom with the words 'Alger West Boats, San Pedro CA'. The cuddy cover has a logo similar to a 'Y' on it's left side (see picture number 5). Any information would be appreciated! Thanks in advance -- Antoni
