North or Hyde sail?

i am buying a new standard sail but i dont know if i should get North or Hyde. Hyde is more expensive but i dont know what the differences are. anybody have any suggestions or details about either company?

To summarise briefly though most people prefer the Hyde sail as the cloths are slightly different and the Hydes seem to last longer.

As 49208 has already said it has been done to death already! If you are only club racing or cruising you might want to consider one of the many 'pattern' sails that are on the market. The Intensity one is pretty good.

If you need class legal, you have to pay for it, otherwise...

as we tell most of our customers who ask. If you are club racing, get the North. Use the $70 saved vs. the Hyde as gas money for a regatta.

That experience will make more of an impact than North/Hyde sail!
