Notice of Race
Laserlips No Work Regatta, Saturday, September 22, Leatherlips Yacht Club, 9230 Shawnee Trail, Powell, OH 43065, Governing authority—because I said so.
First race at 1 p.m.
Number of races—until we get sick of it.
If you don’t wear a lifejacket, I will call your mother.
We’ll try our tillers at Team Racing, if I have a chance to read the rules between now and then. If there is light air, not likely in late September, we’ll try some goofy races—sailing a short course backwards, standing in front of the mast, and a Must Violate Rule 42 race in which anyone who doesn’t pump, rock, ooch, or scull themselves around the course is disqualified.
Race committee will consist of people who have nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon and who want free food.
We’ll take up a collection for food after racing and run to the local pizza joint for a couple of pies. This is the only fee.
Prizes—beer or chocolate, age dependent.
