This looks to be a great great time to be sailing down here. I am hearing persistent rumors that Liquid is signed up to be a Laser dealer - so after many years we'll finally have a local dealer again.

Lets come out and support them and have some fun sailing. Plenty of good deals on places to stay this time of year and Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club has a pretty nice grassy area right along the edge of the bay that people seem to like camping at if that is your style.

The first day of the Liquid Fall Showdown, Saturday, Oct 25, 08 is now complete. A second day of racing is scheduled for tomorrow, which will include many types of windsurfers, from Kona Boards, to highly modified speedsters.

This years event, the sixth (the event is held semi annually) is being held and co-sponcered by the Fort Walton Yacht Club here in North West Florida. Additional classes have been established including Lasers and an Open Portsmouth class.

Yesterday we had some 50 windsurfers on their own course, and then all others, including Lasers, shared another course, with all lasers getting thier own start, and Open boats getting another. The weather was great, wind up in the 12 knot range, the courses true, and a fun time was had by all.

We're looking forward to the second day of racing tomorrow.
