General boat care!

i need to know some basic information about how to clean my laser including hull and sail. Any information would be great. For instance how to clean to deck of the boat and how to get rid of scratches on the hull.

for the larger scratches try a bit of gelcoat and sand gently down with wet 800 grit for the smaller scratches try polishing the whole hull- it also keeps it clean and looks great!

Cleaning the deck is generally best done with either a scrubbing brush and mild detergent or with a pressure washer.

Do be careful using a pressure washer though as it you have any damaged gelcoat it will take it off leaving you with a repair job.

As for the hull you may find just giving it a good clean with some gelcoat/grp cleaner like muc-off will do the trilck.

As for the scratches it depends on how deep they are. Some might just polish out some may require sanding and some may require filling and fairing.
