Has anyone tried a forefin design on either rudder or centerboard? Slotted below water planes? Comments?

My ignorance... a what? I am assuming this is an alteration to the centerboard or rudder? ala wing, or foil?
The capri 14.2 is a one design. Very little changes are accepted for racing. For day sailing out of the box (so to speak) the boat moves pretty good. I just day sail, because with my own fat rear, and old bones, I don't stand a chance with this young guys, so I alter it for more lazy sailing.
With some rigging tweaks it even points pretty well to windward (part and parcel of a deep draft from the centerboard I suspect with 3'6" for a 14 foot boat).
Beyond that, might wanna try a keel boat, more sail area, and bigger.
