Every few days I read another post where people are "looking for sailors nearby."
It takes a little work but it is not all that hard and most important??
USE THE CLASS!!!
The class maintains a pretty darned thorough database. As in, there are folks who have a list of some of the Laser sailors. Unfortunately, the list only contains the names and addresses of the folks who have paid dues to the class but, the list goes back a few years and the list is ON A COMPUTER!!!
If you send an email to the class office or your district secretary and ask nicely for some help, you may find your email box filled with lots of help!!
You will still have to contact people and drag them out for that first get together but, one good evening of email and possibly phoning people will get you in contact with local Laser sailors and that is true almost everywhere in North America.
Just ask!!
How do you think Merrily got the Toledo Ohio sailors back out on the water??
