Drainage problem underway

It is getting time to start preparing for the sailing season and I need to fix a few things. I purchased and sailed my Capri 14.2 half way through the summer last year. One of my puzzling problems was that there always seemed to be a collection of an inch or so of water in bottom of the cockpit. The water seems to originate from the centerboard slot mand accumulate at the stern. The drain holes only drain after approximately 2 inches of water accumulate back there. Is there a solution or do Capri owners just put up with water sloshing around while sailing? Thanks

Nary a drop

My 1987 stays bone dry at all speeds/tacks. How is the gasket on yours?? Mine's not perfectly intact, but it is all there.
