Double handed racing, distance race, anyone do them?

ECSA here in Connecticut is thinking of doing a single handed and double handed distance race of about 30 miles.
Has anyone or does anyone here do that type of racing?
 
No, but I'd do it in a heartbeat. Especially if it were one-design (unlikely), and I think double-handed would be a lot of fun. We did do a few fully-crewed distance races one-design with the J about 20-25 years ago in the Annapolis area. One 60 mile overnight with thunderstorms was great. Like being on a surfboard.

There was someone who did a DH race in LIS with his daughter a couple of summers ago, but I can't find the write-up he did. I recall they did well in their division.
 
Planning on the racing the Calvin Bauer race out of the Thames Yacht club.
Will be on Block Island for Off Soundings but not on my J/24.
