From Cedar Point this past Sunday - Wind was offshore, with lots of puffs - check out this video at one jibe mark, where one puff from behind brought the whole fleet back together again just in time for the rounding. Can you say bouy room (you can't hear it, but yes, there was a little chatter amongst everyone)

(will take about 10 seconds on DSL to download)

How was it this weekend? I didn't get to go out because of some Easter stuff that my family was doing. That defenitely looks pretty packed compared to other days. Now that I'm looking at those pics, talk about line sag!

Great video; amazing nobody capsized (wouldn't that have been fun); good sailors, obviously :) .

Watch 184552 rock his body back and forth at least 3 times in that small frame shot. What rule 42?

I agree that he is moving his body more then those around him, but...
It could be argued that the angle that the video is from does not do a good job of showing if there is more sideways mast movement then the boats around him. He could be moving his body to conteract the waves/rolling of the boat (it does not appear that his hull is rocking more then the boats around him either)

If I were a judge (I'm not) I'd want to see that sequence from directly in front before I'd feel comfortable saying he's breaking rule 42 - just MHO

This is why when using appendix P 2 judges must agree on a 42 violation before a flag is thrown. A good example on what people look for too. Body movement, mast movement, hull movement, one of these elements or all? I bet it varies by judge.
