Condensation inside boat???

Hey everybody.

I'm unsure if this has been covered yet, but I'll ask anyway. Today I went for a sail, nothing too serious, wind about 10-15 kts. Quite pleasant.

Anyway, when I returned, I removed the bung and stuck my finger inside and noticed it was a little damp. It's a 2004 boat, and I check it after every sail and it has never been damp before.

Winter is ending here in OZ, and we have just had a mini heat wave. Is is possible, or even likely that the moisture is just condensation, or should I be concerned???

It wasn't puddles or anything, just a couple of damp spots.

Oh yeah, the deck only copped a bit of spray, nothing big.

Anybody's thoughts would be greatley appreciated.

IMHO it is just condensation. Because you did not mention it, I'm assuming that you don't have an inspection port. I strongly suggest you install one as it will help keep the inside of the boat dry. There are lots of links and suggestions as to types and placement.
