Best sailing shop...

Hi guys, I'm geeting my laser next week & I need to buy some new stuff for the boat... what is the best shop online or not for me... I live in Montréal, Canada.... what I need is : new lines , some blocks & hook to upgrade my outhaul to a 6:1 also I need an inhaul... shrink tubing... Fredrickson block... & others...
 
ya I know fogh marine... thing is they don't have evrything I want... I bought my new boat from them... any other stores ?
 
I'm not sure about the cross-border problems (customs, etc.), but I've been using two on-line companies for a number of years:

What do you need that fogh marine doesn't have?

They'll order Fredricksen blocks, and you can get shrink tubing anywhere.
 
I get all my Laser stuff from Annapolis Performance Sailing (www.apsltd.com.) They're real friendly and it is the easiest online purchasing I've ever made. They even ship quickly too! Never had a problem with them and they have just been a pleasure to work with.

Is there a place I can get the lenght of rope I need to replace the existing ones? vang cunningham & outhaul....
 
man shrink tubing can be bought at any hardware store, since you live in canada go to canadian tire or princess auto, i have bought shrink tubing for other stuff there and i know they will have the right size, they will also have better prices than a sailing store
 
Hey L-P it shouldnt be hard to find the length of line for your laser. Simply ask a emloyee at your local dingy shop, i know that in Edmonton our shops keep a binder of Laser information behind the counter. I also believe that the length of line for the cunningham and outhaul on the race kits is 16 feet but dont take my word check with the local shops, im sure if our stores have the information then yours should also. Now about the other parts, the same shop would probably be happy to add whatever you need to there next shippment, so get to know the people who work there, it will make getting parts a whole lot easier.

Look at the "Pre-2001 High Performance Laser Line Package" and "New Rules Performance Line Package" items for the lengths (and recommended types) of all lines for the pre-2001 and post-2001 rigging:
