Anyone heard of James Lee Meadows? Sailed from Miami to Boston

I just read, " This Book is drunk", that I found on Amazon. Allegedly this guy in the 70's sailed a sunfish up the East coast. Took him 110 days. He is originally from Concord. I loved the book for the adventure of it. He mostly gets wasted throughout the trip drinking and smoking weed that is donated along the way. Meets some cool people and places. It was fun looking up some of the places that he stays. There isn't much info on this guy and I'd like to verify that I'm not fooled.
 
AMF gave him pretty good publicity in the Sunfish magazine back during the day. He mentioned a few visits to bars in his writings for AMF, but the weed somehow got omitted....BB
