The 2009 District 5 Championship was held the weekend of May 23-24 with sailing on Chestermere Lake and hosted by the Calgary Yacht Club. Alex Heinzemann wins the 21 boat Standard fleet with Mike Simms in second followed by Simon Schmitt. Kate Easton wins the 8 boat Radial fleet with Elisha Allen in second followed by David Cormack.
