If for some reason you get stopped by the Coast Guard or possible other law enforcement officers and your floation devise isn't CG approved you will get a ticket for not having an approved life jacket aboard.

One of the best thinks you can do if you are doing any trailing is to have your tires balanced. Most people don't do this and it really makes a difference. Most of the wheels and tires are not truely round and will cause the trailer to bounce down the road.
I think the 3" Harken ratchet blocks works great. I have a smaller ratchet on one of my fish and it doesn't work as well. I have heard that one of the new Ronstan ratchet blocks works very well also.

You can do some point to point races or multible marks or do a poker run type race and have each boat pick up a card at given points to make up a poker hand. You can also do LeMans starts from the beach. Make them sail the boat backwards for a short distance in the race and so on.

Everything is relative. We can't tell much from the photos. What does the boat weight? Are there cracks in the boat. What do the rudder and board look like? How about the spars and sail?
If you are at all handy with tools you can build a dolly. I built one out of aluminum tubing that works well. I have also seen them made from PVC pipe.
You can also use wood.

We use lawn paddle ball paddles. they look like a large ping pong paddle and work great. they fit in the aft well and do not get under your feet. I have seen other people use ping pong paddles and dust pans. Heavy duty dust pans work very well and are cheap.
It is very hard to tell anything from that picture. Looking at that picture the aft boats is getting gased by the lead boat and should tack to get clear air. He may have passed you due to a fuller sail as well as lighter weight in the lighter air. We need more information.
