The gunwhales on a Sunfish are not as thick as those on a Laser, so I don't know if it would work or not. I wonder if it would damage the Sunfish. Although if the supports were longer than on a Laser trailer it would spread the load more, which might compensate for the less-sturdy gunwhales...
