The weight distribution was what worried me. I could always stack some weights on the front to balance out the stern of the boat hanging off. Ideally I would just like to ride it top up with a skeletal support setup that matched the contour of the hull. Much easier to have someone help me dump...
Searched much of the forum for Harbor Freight trailer ideas. No one really mentioned the foldable option that I am interested in.

The overall length is only 11.6 feet. With a laser being 14ft, at the very minimum, I would...
I have a Chevy S10 that I thought I could possibly get away with using some type of ladder rack on the back pickets of the bed rails. That might be a way of going.
I ended up buying a reciever hitch on ebay for 75 bucks. Installed it in two hours and then borrowed someones trailer to pick up a...
I finally got around to cleaning the base and sanding it. I chipped away what I could with the doughnut. What was left was fairly strong. After checking the psi strengths of Marine Tex putty, I gave it a shot. Really is a lot like steel.
Should it need another layer? Maybe some fiberglass cloth?
maybe mount a davit? Or buy a boat floating dock. It was easier to find a jetski version, but they have larger.
My guess is, you need the floating dock mounted to bulkheading/dock?

Could even test your skills and try to sail it onto...
I certaintly don't have the patience for this fiberglass. It is hard doing something you cannot see with gloves that provide no feel. I feel like the inspection port may have been too far away, but I have long arms.
I have been reading about this marine-tex putty. I think I saw a mast step...
When I came across Gouv's site and others. Some people bulletproof the base with just fiberglass mat and others redo the doughnut.
Any idea why some redo the doughnut? Is it any easier? I picked up some fiberglass matting and I'll chip away the old doughnut. I didnt like how one side was...
Here she is in all her glory. Cut the hole in her today. Probably took about 10 minuntes with a dremel. Had the jig saw ready but she cut really easy.
Pictures pretty much speak for themselves. The chunk of deck/foam/fiberglass was bone dry. Real stiff.
The cubitainers are still intact. 33...
I looked through the drain plug to see what was going on inside. I saw what looked like moldy, transparent bags. They might be filled with foam for all I know.
She only came with the original upper mast, so I never got to see the wood blades, although I knew at that old, it was wood.
The...
After finding all the articles on this site about mast step repair and replacement, it got me a little scared.
I have a 1974 hull that until now, has been stored uncovered on its deck for about 10-15 years?
She is pristine with the exception of a few minor scratches and spider cracks on the...
