Got kids, need Sunfish.
It seems nobody has the metal drain plugs for the early boats available in the US. What gives?

I mean the drain plug on the deck, not the bailer. In 1972, the DePersia bailer was replaced with the plastic bailer.
The older bailer froze and didn't really drain well, so people replaced them. People were always loosing the metal plugs so the plastic with the attached plug was easier. When they come on the market they are expensive.
Thanks, that’s awesome. Do you use the 1” or the 3/4”?The thread is 1/2"-13tpi.
I use a 1/2"-13 x 1" nylon hex bolt. I have a bunch extra and would offer to ship you one, but shipping would cost more than you could just buy one for.

Thank youI have 1" - but either would work.
I just got 1" because I found a 20 pack on eBay for a couple dollars.
I use the same nylon hex bolt but add an o-ring.
O-ring insures no water in drain.
