What type of Laser did I buy?

I bought a used 1982(?) Laser that the prior owner didn't know a whole lot about. It looks like a Laser II as it has a Jib and the mast doesn't fit into the deck hole but onto the mast step casting on the top of the deck. The boat Aslo didn't come w/ a spinnaker. The hull id is ZFS01454M810.

Are there websites that give the physical dimensions of the Laser 2? How did the laser 2 come into existance? Is there a way to check my boat's age? The posted way of using the hull doesn't seem to work.
