Wed. night wind prediction

Well, I won't be sailing Wed. night if this prediction holds up but here it is:

Wednesday
Hurricane conditions possible. Mostly cloudy with rain likely and a slight chance thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs in the mid 80s. East winds 35 to 55 mph with gusts to around 75 mph becoming northeast and becoming 45 to 65 mph with gusts to around 90 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 60 percent.

There are people in my sailing group that will sail their lasers in tropical storms. BTW, I live in east central Florida.

Well if you like to be shaken up and rocked around and spend most of your time in the water then by all means go sailing in a tropical storm. Winds in one of those storms can over power just about any sailer, proffesional or recreational.

Hell, if I had that kind of breeze, I would defenitely try and go out sailing in it. I would atleast find a beater boat to nail some hiking racks onto.
