Sail differences

A quick check online lists the total sail area (both jib and main) for the Omega 14 as 108 sq ft and the Capri as 114 sq ft. Not much difference, so they may interchange, but I'm not sure. The manual lists the Capri main as 17'3" x 18'8" x 8'6" and the jib as "13'4" x 12'7 x 7'11" (first dimension is the luff length for both).

I can tell you that the Capri's at the UCLA Marina are outfitted with smaller mains, no bolt rope at the foot ... the difference in speed, handling, and stability was quite apparent when I sailed theirs versus my boat.

No

My Omega 14 has a main about 15'-11" and the Foot of the main is about 8'-5". So I don't think the Capri 14.2 sail would fit.
