Removing the scuppers in a wooden Jet 14.

I have purchased a 1956 wooden Jet 14. The hull is cold pressed mahogany. It's in fine condition, except that it has two leaky scuppers through the hull on both sides of the centerboard well. I'd like the boat for a sporty day sailer. Is there someone near to Cleveland, Ohio, who could remove these scuppers and make the hull tight?

Is removal the best strategy?

Thanks, David

Who is the manufacturer?
Perhaps you can fix the scuppers/bailers.

If all else fails, use a big sponge...

Thank you. Perfect timing. Your post is helpful. I found a boatbuilder who advised me to not remove the scuppers, just replace them.
