This morning in 30 knot blow while on a crazy reach had a complete mast step failure. This means that the mast step tube pulled up and through the deck. Tube is completly severed... large crack for and aft of where deck tube once was. Seems fixable (will finish the boat for racing though). I have a game plan but I'm interested if anyone has had the same type of failure and how they went about fixing it. It may be a better approach then I plan on using.
