Laser or Laser 2

I'm not new to water sports but I am new to dingy sailing.I am going to seek out proper tuition but cannot decide between a Laser or Laser 2.I'm hoping to spend 50% sailing single handed and 50% with crew.
Can anyone advise.The decision is harder as my brother is selling his Laser 2
and said I could have it for a good price.Also I don't want to have to upgrade
after only ,say 6 months.Help.

get the laser. mainly because laser 2's are a dead class, no one.... (well at least no one good) sail laser 2's anymore. The reason there are so many for sale right now is because everyones trying to get rid of them before they compleatly loose their value.

Laser 2's were a great boat in there time and i am a former laser 2 sailor but take my advice and dont buy one unless you wanna loose a lot of money.
