The inside of my mast step is very beat up, but it doesn't leak or move around. I'd like to fill-in the gouges, fix some badly worn areas at deck level, and bring the internal shape back to original. Question is how best to do that and what are the original dimensions of the tube? Has anybody done this. Does somebody make a mandrel that I could insert in there to make sure that the mast won't be wobbly or point loaded because a repair spot stands proud?
