The 2009 CRYC Junior Regatta was held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 with a fantastic turnout of 115 boats attending - (15) 420s, (17) Laser Radials, (55) Optimists, and (28) Opti Green boats. It was a beautiful sunny day with a very steady breeze of 5-8 kts with little to no shifts, which made the course management very easy for the Race Committees. After completing four races in each division, the sailors headed in for a quick lunch and then enjoyed the water at Conquest Beach. The award ceremony went well with awards going to the top five finishers in each major division. The CRYC enjoys hosting this regatta yearly on the beautiful Chester / Corsica River venue and thanks the parents, kids, and coaches for making this another memorable event. We look forward to many of the junior sailors return for the CRYC Annual Regatta next weekend. By Andy Wood
