C 14.2 Wins Portsmouth at AYC Birthday Regatta

Mike and Sara Hester won the Portsmouth class for the second year in a row at the Birthday Regatta of the Arizona Yacht Club. The Regatta was held at Lake Pleasant northwest of Phoenix on January 13-15. Winds were quite variable including dead calm to gusts up to 28 mph measured at nearby Pleasant Harbor. Over 70 boats competed, divided into 11 classes. Congratulations Mike and Sara!
 
23 knot gusts. Count me out. Too much wind for these little boats. Nice job. Get the fleet of C14.2 to come join you from Tempe next year for some good old one design racing.
