We replaced several things on our Catalina 22. Purchased the teak at our lumberyard (Spring is good as they have sales on wood then), and took the old piece along with new teak to cabinet maker. We were happy with the results.

mod 2 to 3 Mt mod 2 is a '94, and what I was thinking was to attain more space than a 6-pack area. I beleive that my deck is one of the later ones Ed was describing. Now, Ed's mention of the ceterboard kick-up system interests me.

IF I became really ambitious (husband works body shop) what would it take to turn my mod 2 into a 3? It seems so much area is wasting, and my boat is in such good shape I want to keep her. Got a history or thread for me?

The top of my mast is open as you say. I also have a windex with it. Have no plans to use the windex, but do wish to install the Hobbie ball at top. Being a new sailor, think I will need all the help possible.
