I spray the end of my boom with some McLube before the morning races and then when I head back out onto the water after lunch (if possible). This works really well for me. Just make sure to put on a lot. You can never use to much.
I was traping on a 420 for the fist time. It was blowing 25 and we caught a huge header. The boat just tacked and I found myself out on the wire with the boom coming towards me and the boat capsizing. I was cliped in under the middle of a 420 sail for a little bit. It was fun!

I got to try out the tip today and it worked great. When I saw a roller coming I either got on it and stayed on it or I headed up more until it passed. If I felt I was losing the wave (and had no chace of staying with it ) or going to deathroll I did the same thing (head up)...

I got a new sail (and boat!). The sail is from the worlds and has blue corners. The sail was not used there but the dealer said it was left over from the worlds. I think it looks cool but [b:d5e3b4de5e]what is it???
