How old is my Laser?

I knew once but forgot what is coded in the serial number.
If my SN is PFS 06936 0473. Is this a 1969 boat? What else may be determined from that number?

Well there's one thing for sure. It's not a 1969 boat. They weren't making Lasers in 1969.

There's a full explanation of serial numbers and how to decode them in the Laser Forum Knowledge Center. If that info is correct then it appears you have a 1973 boat made by Performance Sailcraft in Canada.

But I'm no expert on this matter and my opinion has no weight.
