Forming a Fleet on Grapevine/Lewisville - DFW

If you sail a Capri 14 on Lake Grapevine or Lake Lewisville near DFW, let’s try to organize a fleet! I’d like to find some folks who are interested in racing. I know there are at least two of us out there; I met sail # 3485 this today on the ramp at Murrell Park! If we can find a third, we’ll declare ourselves a fleet and get started. Please respond to this post or send me a note at [email protected]

DaveM- This is DavidD, my email address is [email protected] drop a note to me next time you go out on Grapevine.

hello DavidD, I took an old friend of mine out on Charlabud over the weekend. We were on Lake Grapevine for six hours! wind was nice 8 -12 kts. Went from Murrell Park to the Island, then into Scott’s landing to practice some close quarters. They have a great little restaurant there at Scott’s that serves a good burger. Then we headed up-lake to Sandy Beach on a long broad reach the whole way (first time I've been able to do that). Beat our way back toward Murrell Park, stopping in at Twin Coves to take a look at their ramp. Wind was coming straight in mouth of the cove and we had great fun quick-tacking our way out. A great day on the LG.

Guys that sounds great. Here it's just the open red sea, no destinations or restaurants or anything :). Keep enjoying it.

Hey Ahmed! I am flattered that a guy sailing on the Red Sea envies our little corner of Dallas! Sail-On my Friend!

Fair Winds!
