I think half the problem is because I am heavy 6'4" and 102kg, I don't have to hike out too far so never need to use the end of the tiller extension, i always seem to be holding it half way along

Was my first time in a Laser this yesterday, this mantra came in very usefull. Only on capsize and that was after hiking out too far and then losing the wind, fell into water to windward !!!

Still got the old style rigging, tried rigging everything last night.
The cunningham line has a loop tied in it, but couldn't work out if this was to use as a pulley system or just to pull on to increase purchase

Should the black plastic outer rim of the AutoBailer be sealed to the hull ? Mine seems to operate ok, the square bailer retracts and deploys, but the rim of the plastic is loose and certainly not sealed at the outer edge.
