what i do its make it the opposite. have the bolts and the screw on top of the ridder and tiller extension that eliminates the metal to hull wear and tear but the wood will still hit sometimes! hope that helps!

which reminds me! i had to upright a sunfish on Long Pond. It has to been sitting there for at least 3 years in the water! the entire bottom of the boat was covered in alge and crap. it literlly killed the boat! lesson learned!
