This is the ialian way. I have to say that I did not think about fixing the bailer then I said myself...why not and there it came my solution. A piece of stainless steel, a small hole 1.5 mm diameter and that is it! ;-)))
So far it work perfectly...
Put the cleat on the other side, or rotate the tiller repositioning all the other fittings on it. open new holes and close the old ones. maybe an hour of work doing it very very quiet... :)
Yes this is correct, but I believe that the gelcoat provides much more resistance to the friction expecially on the front edge of the daggerboard. Try sand enamel and gelcoat and you will see what I mean..of course it is not a relevant issue but for those not loving the yellow of the daggerboard...
I did some refurbishment with the geal coat and it looks great.... of course you can spray it if you want to do the whole items or brush for small dents.
Gel coat work fine and gives superior strenght than the painting
I did some cosmetic repair on the gel coat and of course different colour...so what??? you will be never able to macth the colour also because the sunlight fade
