2 of us wore drysuits, neoprene booties, neoprene gloves, and hats. The 3rd wore a wetsuit with other warm clothes over top. I had long johns, a midweight fleece, and a synthetic puffy jacket on under my drysuit in this video of sailing through the ice.

I'm really appreciating all your useful comments. If you haven't seen yet, I did another video about sailing with an actual sheet. That seemed to work way better. That's obviously not the end solution, but I'm planning to make a small clip-on sail for the Sunfish for my next trip...4 days around...

I'm curious if anyone has suggestions about how to improve this for using my hammock as a backup sail/spinnaker. I'm mainly concerned about being able to depower from the cockpit. Thanks!

If anyone has considered adding foam decking (Flex Dek) to their Sunfish or small sailboat, I just did a review after a couple hundred miles of trying it out.

I'm curious what you decided to buy. I just made a video of sailing a Sunfish 150 miles around Isle Royale, take passengers, went camping with my dog last weekend (another video on Adventures In Reach channel on YouTube), have been in 10' waves and 45 mph winds...and I sail the basic Sunfish...

I lead a couple trips (canoeing in the Boundary Waters) recently, but I also use what I learned from Outdoor Education for teaching more than the outdoor skills.

The support vehicle...or boat sounds like a solid idea. Bringing antibiotics is a solid reminder as well. That's funny about bordellos...too scary...I'd stay away. Thanks for those videos too.
