Worth it or not?

I just grabbed a free Sunfish, SN is 39034 so I think that's 1967. Finish is bad, fiberglass at the bow around the rail area is pretty rough, there's about 3" crack in the keel maybe 2' forward of the transom, looks like there's a crack across the deck in front of the cockpit. I'm just going to put it away away for the winter now. Is this worth restoring?

Post some pics, but unless a tree fell on it it COULD be restored. Question will be if you want to take on a project. Winter time is good time for sanding and fiberglass, if you have a warm spot for epoxy to cure.

Congrats on your new free boat!

Figure $150 (each) for sail, rudder, daggerboard.

What'd'ya get with the hull?

Restorations are fun--even West-System epoxy is fun! I tossed the pumps, and measure manually.

Over-winter, this sounds like a good opportunity to practice grinding, sanding and finishing--maybe make a little money.
