Now that you all have helped me with my problem getting old pro grip off of my laser....

Does anyone know a website(s) where I can get plans for building a dolly for my laser? I think I am favoring something made out of PVC.

I would appreciate your assistance once more and I hope to quit bugging you...

Thank you.

Hi,
here is an old TLF-thread I remembered to:

http://sailingforums.com/threads/size-of-aluminium-tubing-dolly.1237/

I never would have the idea to build again a PVC-dolly. To less the longlife quality they have and it is not really cheaper than a selfmade one, made out of some aluminium beams and wheelbarrow wheels of the next Home Depot.

Later, François (TLF member "fsylvestre") posted in an email to me, photos of his selfmade aluminium dolly. I guess he doesn't gets angryto me to much, if I post his photos here in attachment. In my opinion, his dolly is the best selfmade dolly, I have seen ever, here at TLF over all the years of membership.

For now 7 years I use Seitech dollies of Peter Seidenberg (He still is racing at Warnemuende/ GER in the moment!! Great to have him as a guest here at GER!). I've never regreted to have spend the extra €€ to buy the Seitech dolly, it was and is a useful invest.

Ciao

If you go the PVC route, make sure you use schedule 80 pipe, not schedule 40 (40 will break at the joints)
Plans are here for plastic http://web.archive.org/web/20080704102950/http://www.jdecm.com/laser/dollies.htm
If you search the threads here, you'll find it's been covered quite a bit - search "homemade dolly"

Tent Maker -

I appreciate the plans and material list for the laser dolly you referenced but do you have specific dimensions for the sections of the rear axle between the "tees" and the length of the 2" tubes that run from the rear axle to the front?

Thank you.

Does anyone have a picture of the "1½ Dishwasher 3/4 " threaded dishwasher connector" from John D.E.'s plans or know if this piece has a different name, I can't seem to locate it?

Many thanks
