WHAT IS THE GOING RATE TO ADD ROLLER FURLiNG TO THE CAPRI

It depends. If you go catalina direct the parts are about 300$. more if you need a jib. Do you have a hank on jib?

I had my jib reworked by a sail maker who replaced the crappy small plastic hanks with some nice large brass ones. Then run a thin tag line through them from top of sail through sheave and then back to cockpit. It plays against the halyard, makes it easy to hoist/lower jib while underway. Need the "tiller tender" to make this happen because you need to be leaning over the foredeck to bungee the jib into a tube shape that gets held in place by one of the cleated sheet lines. When I priced out roller furling it was way too expensive compared to taking this approach. In addition to buying the mechanism, I would have had to replace a perfectly good jib!
