Western Massachusetts sailing

I live in western Massachusetts and am considering buying a sunfish, but am not sure if there are enough lakes with public launches (or places to carry a sunfish into) to sail on .

Are any of you sailing within an hour or so drive of Northampton? Where can I sail?

The Commonweath puts out a book from the Department of Fish and Wildlife that lists all public access ramps. http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/pab/pabbook.htm.

Most state parks have public boat ramps, as do some towns, but other than the book, they really aren't publicized.
