Are the Velcro straps for the clue tie down class legal?

It is my understanding that they are legal. Read rule 3.g.i below and you decide. Is a velcro strap different from a strap?

Here is what rule 3.g.i says:

Yes, they are legal.

late to the party here, but Vanguard now makes an OEM velcro strap. just like all the rest, but it says LASER on it *oooooooh*

If I'm not mistaken, the strap Vanguard sells is made by North Sails

I'd assume so, it's 'made in Sri Lanka'
