Looking to replace the whole lower unit.
Ok, I won't ask for a more detailed report 
but just for your information (if it's relevant in your case at all), in a few weeks a new class rule will allow changeable parts of the vang cleating fittings to be changed to anything with "equivalent function". That is, the cleat and the top/aft fairleads, and the separate black fairlead on the Harken fitting can be changed not only to new ones, but any others that fit the same mounting holes. Expecting people to replace the Harken 339 with the Allen A4452:
